Your ashtray should be cleaned using mild dish soap and water only; olive oil-based soap works wonders. We don't recommend stubbing out until ash builds up. This will prevent browning and increase longevity. 

Tip: Place a little sand or water at the bottom of the tray. This is not necessary, but will help with longevity.

In a machine, use gentle detergents, turn the jacket inside out, and button the first and last buttons. Wash on a delicate mode, only in cold water. Hang to dry.
